Stampeaz Soft Block Sampler

Description

I have been asked to put together a sampler pack of soft block materials that are carried here at Stampeaz. Each block in this five-piece sampler is approximately 4 x 6 inches (sizes vary a little) and will give you an opportunity to try a wide range of different materials (it’s a perfect way for a new carver to try it all and would also make a great gift for your favorite carving enthusiast).

Typically, the more firm the block, the better it will take and retain detail and the longer the block will last with multiple printings. The fun here is trying them all to find the block that feels and works the best for your carving and printing style and needs.

This sampler includes one of each of the following materials:

Japanese Yellow – the softest block we carry
Japanese Beige – a medium soft material
Speedy Carve (pink) – a medium density block
Tan-Z Kut – a medium to firm carving block
Firm Kut – our most firm material in the soft block category
