Description
Firm Kut is a dense material that has a very firm carving feel. It has a smooth, shiny surface that tends to resist ink just a little bit, so I have given these sheets a light sanding with 600 grit sandpaper to help with both image transfer and ink adherence. Some people use manicure buffers or acetone to remove the sheen, too. Removing the surface sheen that is a residual skin from the extrusion process helps the inking and transfer qualities of any carving block, but I think it’s particularly helpful with Firm Kut.
This was the first PZ Kut replacement trial formula that was good enough to make available to Stampeaz customers.
